Cohabitation/Prenuptial Agreement Drafting
Straightforward cohabitation and prenuptial agreements — no surprises later
This service is a good fit for people entering into a marriage or common-law relationship who want to clarify what will happen if they separate.
The law sets out default rights and obligations between spouses, and those rules will apply if you do nothing. If you and your partner want different terms, you need a written agreement.
I draft clear, legally enforceable cohabitation and prenuptial agreements based on the terms you have already agreed to, while keeping the scope focused and the cost predictable.

How the process works
You contact me with a brief description of your circumstances. If I feel I can help I will send you a detailed intake form to complete.
You complete the detailed intake form and provide financial information
I review the information and confirm whether limited-scope drafting is appropriate
I draft the cohabitation or prenuptial agreement based on the agreed-upon terms
You receive the draft and next-step instructions, including independent legal advice (ILA) considerations
Important limitations (please read)
This service is appropriate only where:
both parties are generally in agreement on the key terms;
there is no ongoing conflict, pressure, or urgency; and
full financial disclosure has been exchanged.
I do not negotiate terms, communicate with the other party, or resolve disputes.
In some situations, independent legal advice (ILA) for one or both parties may be strongly recommended or required. I can explain when that may apply.
If your situation involves significant disagreement, safety concerns, or unresolved issues, a full-service lawyer may be a better fit.
