My wills package is designed for people who are capable and organized, but don’t want to spend hours researching legal rules, guessing what matters, or worrying they’ve missed something important.

Fee for package:

  • $400 (single)

  • $600 (couple)

This package covers drafting and instructions. It does not include acting as a witness or commissioner

Package includes the following documents:

  • Will

  • Power of Attorney

  • Health Care Directive

  • Step-by-step instructions for signing all documents

How it works:

  1. You complete a short intake form

  2. I draft your documents and confirm any questions I may still have

  3. You review the draft(s)

  4. You sign the documents using the provided witnessing instructions with a qualified witness of your choosing

Best for:

Straightforward situations where you want clear instructions and peace of mind.

What I’ll need from you:

  • your key personal details

  • who you want as your executor and alternate executor

  • who you want to benefit from your estate

  • a general list of your assets and debts (rough is fine)

Important note about signing:

Drafting and signing are separate steps and different estate planning documents have different witnessing requirements.

In Manitoba, an enduring Power of Attorney must be signed in the presence of a qualified witness, such as a lawyer, notary public, judge, justice of the peace, medical doctor, or certain peace or police officers.

This package includes preparation of the documents and written signing instructions, but does not include acting as a witness. Clients may arrange witnessing with a qualified individual of their choosing.

If you would like me to act as a witness for your Power of Attorney or other documents, I provide witnessing and notarizing services for an additional fee.
